WIDMER END VILLAGE GREEN RULES TO ENSURE THE SAFETY AND PLEASURE OF ALL USERS OF THE GREEN
Visitors or residents should not:
- interrupt others’ use or enjoyment by any breach of these rules or other antisocial behaviour
- bring more than three dogs at any one time
- leave dog mess – please use dog bins or take mess home
- bring horses, whether to ride, walk or graze
- drive any type of motor vehicle, motorcycle or other motorised device
- use metal detectors without prior permission of the trustees
- erect any temporary or permanent structure or light any Barbeque or other fire
- hold any organised event without prior permission of the trustees
- lay manure, soil or ashes or leave rubbish
- disturb the soil
- plant any trees without the permission of the trustees
- extend the boundary of private property onto the green
Also:
- Where trees or branches have fallen, only official GAT working parties are permitted to cut/remove the wood. Please note it is prohibited for anyone to operate saws or other equipment unless accompanied by an authorised GAT trustee. GAT will use wood cleared by working parties as habitat for wildlife. Where there is excess wood it will be cut into manageable pieces, left on the field margins and may be removed by local residents. In general, notices will indicate which wood may be removed. Any wood which cannot be handled easily by one person should not be removed. Residents are requested NOT to remove any wood from within any of the wooded areas between the Oak and Ash fields, the Ash and Orchard (South Field), the woodland on the Southern boundary of the South Field or the woodland adjoining the footpath behind the Cedars School / Hazlemere Lodge which are classed as conservation areas.
