Excerpts from the Minutes of Trustees' meeting December 2017

BEFORE THE MEETING COMMENCED, THE CHAIRMAN ANNOUNCED THAT VILLAGE GREEN STATUS FOR WIDMER FIELDS HAS NOW BEEN CONFIRMED BY BUCKINGHAMSIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

Approval of Minutes of meeting held on Friday 1st December - Agreed
Matters Arising LA will prepare a paper for discussion re the laminated map in the new year. Hazlemere PC have provided a second dog bin at Tom’s Turn. DF confirmed that a Cedar of Lebanon has been ordered. Shed – Awaiting Planning approval. DF had produced an excellent planning application and the ‘tree’ man is happy with his tree assessment. The trees donated by the Lions have been planted.
Treasurer’s Report MK had circulated detailed information re the current financial situation in advance of the meeting. He remarked that funds rely on Standing Orders, Quiz Nights and Gift Aid. MK was thanked for his ongoing detailed explanation of the trust’s finances.
Development Committee Budget The budget for 2018 was discussed and agreed:
Quiz Night The autumn quiz night was a great success and raised £778.79. The next quiz will be held on 24th March 2018.
JW mentioned that the organisers of the Hazlemere Fete would appreciate more volunteers coming forward to assist with this event.
The report of the Development Committee, which had been circulated in advance, was agreed.
Land Management Committee The report of the Land Management Committee, which had been circulated in advance, was agreed.
Village Green LM circulated a notice which she will put up on the noticeboards announcing the registration of Widmer Fields as a Village Green. LA/LM to prepare an article for the spring issue of the WEN.
A.O.B. Christmas Bash – RG has organised this and will forward the menu, etc., to LM to circulate and obtain firm bookings. NB Payment is made by members attending, not Grange Area Trust.
It was agreed that a thank you be sent to the Cricket Club for the use of the community room and for storing the trust’s equipment.
